A Case of Renal Tuberculosis

Abstract

|
A 29-year old female was admitted because of right f lank pain, chills and fever elevation for 1 year duration.
Physical examination revealed mass in right abdomen. Urinalysis showed one plus protein, and sediment was within normal. An intravenous pyelogram revealed non-visualization of right kidney, and there was obstruction of the right ureteropelvic junction.
Nephrectomy was performed. Histologic examination of the excised right kidney and pus culture revealed advanced renal tuberculosis.
